Watch: A.J. Brown roasted by teammates after being tackled from behind
With friends like receivers DeVonta Smith and Zach Pascal, who needs enemies?
On Thursday afternoon, NFL Films released footage that shows Eagles receiver A.J. Brown getting roasted by his teammates on the sideline.
The clip began with Brown getting caught from behind by safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in Sunday’s Steelers-Eagles game. Then it moved to the sidelines, where Smith announced that Pascal is officially faster than Brown.
Brown objected, and technically he’s right. Pascal’s 40-yard dash number was 4.55 at the combine. Brown had a 4.49 time.
Pascal believes he’s faster, and the Fitzpatrick tackle was all the evidence he needed. Brown caught six passes for 156 yards and three touchdowns against the Steelers, but he couldn’t catch a break from his fellow Eagles.
QB Jalen Hurts appeared in the video, but he’s smart enough to keep his mouth shut. Brown is Hurts’ best friend, but Hurts got out of this without offering an opinion.
The best part of the video is when linebacker Shaun Bradley (4.51 in 40) jumped in to criticize Brown’s speed. At that point, Brown looked toward the camera with disbelief.
This is the kind of fun undefeated teams have.
