Titans could get secondary boost with DB Elijah Molden’s return

The Tennessee Titans should get a key member of their secondary back soon.

Defensive back Elijah Molden has been designated to return to practice from injured reserve.

Molden has yet to play in 2022, but his rookie season with the Titans showed promise.

He started seven games for Tennessee and played in all 16, posting up 62 tackles, three defended passes, and a pick. He also forced a fumble and scored a defensive touchdown.

The former Washington standout has arguably had a better pro career than Titans 2021 first-round corner Caleb Farley, who has had his struggles in the NFL.

The Titans could use all the help they could get at cornerback, with corner Kristian Fulton shouldering most of the quality play for the unit. Rookie CB Roger McCreary and veteran CB Terrance Mitchell factor in as well, but neither can give the team at present what Molden can.

Molden’s promising rookie campaign can begin its next chapter once he returns to the field for Tennessee. Having won five straight, the Titans get another victory with him being healthy.
