Despite massive trades, Eagles still have six 2023 NFL Draft picks
Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has been busy as of late, hasn’t he? His team is 6-0 and on top of the NFC East as well as the conference as a whole.
His second-round draft pick from 2020, Jalen Hurts, is looking like the real deal, and he’s put some legitimate pieces around him on both sides of the ball.
There was the trade for wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Tennessee Titans, who is one of the top players at his position in the league. He currently leads the team with 485 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Roseman also traded with the New Orleans Saints for safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson this past summer, who has three interceptions so far this season — which ties for the team lead with Darius Slay.
The Eagles, of course, traded up in the 2022 draft to get 6-foot-6, 336-pound stud defensive tackle Jordan Davis with pick No. 13. Speaking of stud defensive lineman, Roseman also somehow pulled off a trade with the Chicago Bears Wednesday for Robert Quinn.
Roseman got Quinn, a legitimate veteran pass-rusher, for a fourth-round pick.
Roseman has sure been wheeling and dealing a ton. Somehow and someway, though, his Eagles are still set to add some nice pieces in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft. Here’s ESPN’s Adam Schefter with the details:
