Watch: Tyler Herro wins game for Heat with clutch, off-balance 3-pointer
The Miami Heat have to be feeling good after their 110-107 win over the Sacramento Kings. Tyler Herro, the NBA’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year has to be feeling even better.
Tied at 107 with a scrappy Sacramento team, Herro got the ball coming out of the inbounds and found himself in a position to make the game-winning shot.
Credit to Herro, it was far from the perfect position to make the shot. It was a clutch play, but it was also an extremely hard play to make. He had to navigate a switched screen and some sticky defense from Terrence Davis. The Sacramento guard was able to catch up with Herro along the 3-point line and contest the initial look, but Herro got Davis up in the air with a beautiful pump fake that set him up with an open, but tough, shot fading to his right.
The shot, like many of Herro’s three-pointers, was right as rain, which secured Miami its second-straight win.
