Watch: Paul George beats the Rockets in the final seconds
They call him “Playoff P,” but Paul George became “Regular Season P” on the last night of October.
George hit the game-winner with six seconds remaining, after doing absolutely everything for the Clippers. He finished with 35 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, two blocks, and six steals.
George’s final steal came at Eric Gordon’s expense with 29 seconds, moments after PG-13 it a three-pointer to tie the game at 93-93.
If that wasn’t enough, George added two defensive rebounds and an assist in the final 87 seconds.
The win stopped a troubling four-game skid by the Clips, who lost two of those games to the tanktastic Oklahoma City Thunder – who may have been motivated by owning so many of the Clippers’ future picks. It’s their first win without Kawhi Leonard, who has missed the last five games and will miss the next two more when the Clippers go on the road.
