Davis Mills hasn’t made great progress in his second season, so quarterback is likely to be the play if the Texans earn an early pick. Stroud continues to dominate college football season, completing 70% of his passes for over 2,000 yards and 28 touchdowns through seven games.

Detroit is seeing an immediate impact from 2022 draftee Aidan Hutchinson, but that shouldn’t stop them from adding another pass rusher. After recording 17.5 sacks last season, Anderson had six sacks through eight games this year and is the clear top pass rusher in the class.

Young is next in what is becoming an NFL quarterback factory at Alabama. He remains in the Heisman Trophy race, completing 66% of his passes for 1,906 yards and 18 touchdowns through seven games. Young is also mobile, but the biggest concern is that he’s undersized. Carolina remains desperate for a long-term quarterback since parting ways with Cam Newton.

Pittsburgh’s offensive line has made progress compared to last year, but it remains one of the weakest parts of their roster. The 6-foot-4 Skoronski has a chance to be the first offensive lineman off the board, though it remains to be seen if he has the length to stick at tackle. 

The Jags spent big on Christian Kirk in free agency, but they could still use more support for Trevor Lawrence. Hamstring issues have plagued Smith-Njigba this season, but he had 95 catches for 1,606 yards and nine touchdowns last year.

The secondary remains a need for the Raiders despite acquiring Rock Ya-Sin in the offseason. Ringo could be the top cover corner available, with the athleticism to make an immediate impact.

Houston has a chance to take two early picks if Cleveland continues to struggle this season. Bresee continues to play well despite great personal adversity this season, recording 1.5 sacks in five games.

The Eagles have a wealth of talent and picks, putting them in a unique position to take the best player on the board early in the draft. Carter would be able to reunite with former Georgia teammate Jordan Davis on the interior of Philly’s defensive line, though he’s missed time this year with a knee injury.

Seattle did well to address their secondary in this year’s draft and could focus on the front seven next year. After recording eight sacks last season, Murphy had 5.5 through his first eight games this year.

The writing is on the wall for Tom Brady’s real retirement after this season, and the Bucs don’t have a quarterback in waiting. Van Dyke is a pocket passer who has shown improvement this year, with 1,728 yards and 10 touchdowns in seven games.

It’s no secret that cornerback has been a problem for Arizona recently. Despite poor interception totals, Johnson has shined as a cover corner and handles the run well, with 48 tackles in six games this year.

Wide receiver remains a desperate need for Chicago that they failed to address fully in the offseason. Addison hasn’t produced this season like he did last year at Pitt, but he still has 39 catches for 585 yards and seven scores through seven games. He’d be an optimal deep threat for Justin Fields.

The dynamic Simpson does a bit of everything for the Tigers, with 46 tackles and 0.5 sacks in eight games this season after recording 6.5 sacks last season. He’d be a welcome part of a needy Lions front seven.

Green Bay spent multiple picks on wideouts this year, but there’s more work to be done. Boutte hasn’t been overly productive in the Tigers’ offense this season but has the talent to be a top pick.

The writing is on the wall for the Colts to do something drastic at quarterback after whiffing again. The opinions about Richardson’s NFL potential are broad, but there’s no debate over his elite athletic talent. He can keep plays alive with the best of them but has struggled with accuracy in college.

New England could move on from either Isaiah Wynn or Trent Brown next season. Johnson has ample size and has been a consistent, strong performer for the Buckeyes.

Logan Thomas’ play has slipped due to injuries, so that Mayer could be a solid upgrade in Washington. The gifted tight end had 840 yards and seven scores last year and has added 546 yards and six touchdowns in only seven games this season.

Cincinnati’s defensive end pairing of Sam Hubbard and Trey Hendrickson is a big reason for their defensive improvement, but they could use a developmental project. Foskey has plenty of size and has recorded six sacks in seven games after tallying 10 sacks last season.

Marcus Mariota has done well with what Arthur Smith has asked of him in the Falcons’ offense, but few consider him the long-term answer. Levis has a chance to be a top-10 pick despite some inconsistency with turnovers. He completed nearly 70% of his passes for 1,635 yards through six games.

Ricks has played for two bluebloods in LSU and Alabama and remains one of the clear top corners in this year’s class. However, he’s seen limited playing time early this season under Nick Saban. Cornerback is one of Miami’s strengths, but they could use more depth behind the aging Xavien Howard.

The injuries to Keenan Allen and Mike Williams this season have exposed LA’s need for more receiving weapons. The 6-foot-4 Johnston is in the same mold as Williams, showing off as a major deep threat who has averaged over 18 yards per catch in college.

Sewell was a tackling machine for the Ducks last year with 114 tackles. His production hasn’t been as great this season, but he still has a chance to join Jordyn Brooks as a dynamic duo on the second level in Seattle.

With another injury to Mekhi Becton this season, New York would be smart to come up with a backup plan. Fashanu has plenty of potential as a 6-foot-6 tackle.

Baltimore has been an edge-rushing factory in the past, but their defensive line is getting older now. Smith has been a productive pass rusher for four years and has three sacks in seven games this season.

Trevon Diggs continues to produce in Dallas, but the team continues to add more corner depth. Smith has shown a nose for the ball with six picks over the last three seasons.

Tennessee has struck out on some of their recent cornerback moves and could look to address the spot again. Gonzalez has only one interception in his career but has been a strong coverage corner and a sure tackler.

Saquon Barkley is set to cash in as a free agent following this season, and the Giants might not be willing to spend at running back. Robinson has a similar upside, averaging over 100 yards rushing per contest for the second consecutive season and showing great pass-catching ability.

A healthy Danielle Hunter and the addition of Za’Darius Smith have been welcome for Minnesota, but they could still use more pass-rush help. Anudike-Uzomah has been very productive, with 11 sacks last season and 6.5 sacks in seven games this year.

The Chiefs could lose JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Mecole Hardman after this season, making wideout a need once again. Downs is somewhat undersized at 5-foot-10 but has been highly productive in college, including 101 catches last season.

James Bradberry could only be a one-year stopgap, and Darius Slay is also entering the later years of his career. Injuries have plagued Daniels in his career, but he could excel in the workout process.

With the chance that Von Miller is gone after this season, Buffalo could look to improve their pass rush again. Carter has a classic 4-3 defensive end size at 6-foot-7, and he’s been very productive with 14.5 sacks last year and 2.5 sacks early this year.
