Ravens linked to Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy
Could Jerry Jeudy soon be a Raven?
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the third-year Broncos wideout is on the trading block. The former first-round pick hasn’t established an on-field rapport with QB Russell Wilson and the Broncos (2-5) are sinking.
After trading Marquis Brown to the Cardinals before the 2022 NFL Draft, the Ravens desperately need a home run hitter at wideout.
Rashod Bateman has had trouble staying healthy and Devin Duvernay and James Proche have not impressed. The Ravens recently signed veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
Per Justin Melo of thedraftnetwork.com:
“Jeudy’s route-running prowess would add some much-needed efficiency to Baltimore’s passing offense. Jeudy would do damage in the short-to-intermediate areas of the field in Baltimore. Pairing Jeudy alongside Jackson and Bateman would add another explosive layer to the Ravens while making them a more balanced unit.”
Jackson and Jeudy grew up together in Broward County in southeast Florida. In the offseason, Jeudy attended Jackson’s annual Fun Day camp in Broward County. The addition of Jeudy could open up the offense and keep Jackson happy.
On Thursday, the Chiefs sent third- and sixth-round picks to the Giants for Kadarius Toney, a former first-round pick (21st overall).
Will it take more from the Ravens to pry loose Jeudy, the 15th overall pick in the 2020 draft?
The NFL tradeline is Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
