The ‘NFL sack leaders’ quiz

The ‘NFL sack leaders’ quiz

J.J. Watt is officially retiring after the 2022 NFL season.

Prior to last weekend’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year tweeted out that this was “my last ever NFL home game.” Drafted by the Houston Texans with the 11th pick in the 2011 draft, Watt was a force of nature in Houston, piling up more than 100 sacks in his 10 seasons in Texas. From 2012-15, a good argument can be made that Watt was the best player in the world. In that time, he amassed an astounding 69 sacks and 119 tackles for loss. As if that all wasn’t dominant enough, he also had five touchdowns in 2014. Watt walks away from the game as one of the best to ever play his position and will be enshrined in Canton in his first year of eligibility.

Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. The NFL began officially tracking sacks in 1982, and since then, a Watt has led the league in that category four times. So with that in mind, how many of the year-by-year leaders in sacks can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
