The ‘Most games played for every NBA franchise’ quiz
When it comes to Christmas, what is the best gift for the franchise icon who has everything? A 23-foot statue outside the stadium, that’s what.
On Sunday, the Dallas Mavericks unveiled the long-awaited monument featuring Dirk Nowitzki doing his signature one-footed fadeaway jumper that NBA fans became so accustomed to during his 21 seasons in the Association. Speaking of those 21 seasons, the inscription at the bottom of the statue features exactly 21 letters: “Loyalty never fades away.” Dirk spoke about the honor during the ceremony and had this to say, “I’m so glad it’s finally here, and we got to see it. It was emotional when the thing went up. I felt like the sun was just perfect today that it’s shining right on it. I’m so happy that my family is here to witness it (and) my parents are alive to see it. So it was a very, very cool day, and I enjoyed it.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. No one in league history has played more games for one franchise than Nowitzki did with the Mavs. So with that in mind, how many of the NBA players with the most games played for every franchise can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
